We prayed about selling our home for years. This past April, in the middle of a world wide pandemic, we both felt peace about selling. After contacting a fabulous realtor, Colby Venegas with Sold By Colby, we set May 22, 2020 as our listing date. For a month, we worked hard to prepare the house. We decluttered, we painted, we installed a pea-gravel and paver patio. But most of all, we prayed. On the last night before we listed, which happened to be our 32nd anniversary, Bill prayed for an abundance of buyers. God answered that prayer beyond our expectations! The listing went live on MLS at 8:00 am on Friday, May 22, and our showing app started blowing up. Buyers requested every available time slot, including 5 minute showings. Within 36 hours, we had 32 showings and 19 offers. By 11:00 pm on Saturday night, we had a signed contract for more money and better terms than we could have imagined. God is so good! With a July closing date, we had work to do to vacate the house, establish a new address, and set up our new home. But more about that next time!
Lesson Learned: Only list a home when you are truly ready to sell.
